The Winter Caverns Zone was a wintery zone in Classic Sonic's World.

Past[]
In the past, Dr. Eggman established a base inside the mountain cavern. He resided in his base there with the Heavy King after the doctor reconstructed him. After Heavy King used a terminal to take control of his robots, he had them boot out Dr. Eggman and his Egg mobile out of the base. In charge of the Winter cavern zone, he used the Doctor's badniks to seek out the chaos emeralds, while King used the base as his central headquarters.
Under new command[]
The Heavy King monitored the progress of his robot forces, namely, Metal Sonic the Metal Knuckles ion collecting the chaos emeralds, while he used the Tails Doll to observe on any competing forces that are after the emeralds.
