The Time Eater was a mysterious creature that Sonic the Hedgehog once faced at some point in the past.

Battle Against the Time Eater

At some point in the past, Dr. Eggman used the Time Eater in a plan of his. Eventually, Sonic the Hedgehog faced off against them and defeated them.[1] (StH: #5)

The Time Eater is a large entity with many mechanical parts. Its black face has many pointed edges including pointed edges that seem to be its top row of teeth. It has blue-glowing eyes, long parts that might be either ears or horns, and a mechanical jaw with golden teeth and gears. Its upper body has two cockpits with purple-colored dome covers, and purple spikes all around it. Below its lower body it has a purple orb held in place by a thin spine. It also has four arms, each one made up of layers of golden gears and spinning gears. These arms also have round hands with five golden fingers each and purple-glowing claws.

The Time Eater's personality is unknown, as it only ever appeared in a flashback.

Background Information

  • The Time Eater was based on the creature of the same name in the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series, where it first appeared at the end of Sonic Colors and throughout Sonic Generations. It was unnamed in the comic, but is considered tier 2 canon by this site's canon policy, as it does not contradict already established canon from tier 1.
