  • The story's title is a reference to The Secret of My Success, a film starring Michael J. Fox. Its logo is based off the the film's logo as well.
  • Stone tries making a steamed Austrian goat milk latte for Karen, which is a drink he was first seen preparing for Dr. Robotnik in the first Sonic the Hedgehog film.

  • According to writer Kiel Phegley, the Robotnik story was "spearheaded" by Jim Carrey, the actor portraying as Robotnik.[4]
