Betrayal[]

After the explosion, Tangle used her tail to punch out the safe door. At Tangle's insistence, Whisper gives Tangle her mask, showing the playback of her last few missions. Meanwhile, Mimic is riding his extreme gear, stopping to give Eggman an update on the elimination of Whisper. Eggman, knowing that he has lied about his job previously, wants proof that she has been eliminated, resorting to Mimic riding back to the wreckage site. Seeing the burst open safe, he realizes that the two were most likely alive. Whilst being berated by Eggman, he follows some tracks leading to a message ("we end this where we started"). After calming Dr. Eggman down, he then tells him that he needs some reinforcements to help him finish the job.

Trivia[]

  • On page three, when the Diamond Cutters first approached the Eggman base, Mimic and the guarding Egg Pawn show an exclamation point and a question mark inside a speech bubble, respectively. This is a reference to the same speech bubbles with exclamation points and question marks inside them that the enemies in Sonic Heroes show when they notice or do not notice the playable characters.

  • On page eleven, Dr. Eggman indrectly references the events of Sonic Colors.
  • On poage twelve Mimic's line, "It should be criminal to be this smooth." is a reference to the song "Smooth Criminal" by Michael Jackson.
