History[]

The War Against the Eggman Empire[]

During the war, the Resistance was formed to fight back against the Eggman Empire. Resistance HQ came into existence as the headquarters for the Resistance, where the members would discuss their plans for battling Eggman's forces and saving the world.[1][2] (StH: #1)

Battling Neo Metal Sonic[]

Resistance HQ Issue 7

Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy in Resistance HQ.

After Sonic the Hedgehog discovered that Neo Metal Sonic was the new head of the Eggman Empire and the ringleader behind the recent Badnik attacks, Sonic met with Tails, Knuckles, and Amy in Resistance HQ. There, he informed his friends of how Neo Metal Sonic was working on conquering the world for Dr. Eggman using an unknown plan. In order to stop Neo Metal Sonic's scheme, the group decided on searching for any old plans that could tell them what Neo Metal Sonic was up to. Amy put out a call to all Resistance members to gather additional help for the search. (StH: #7)

While continuing his work in Resistance HQ with Amy, Knuckles sensed the Master Emerald calling out to him. Immediately after, they were contacted by Sonic and Silver the Hedgehog. Having discovered Neo Metal Sonic's plan, Sonic told Knuckles and Amy to call in everybody. (StH: #8)

Resistance HQ Interior

The Resistance and their allies meeting in Resistance HQ.

After gathering their strongest allies, the Resistance brought everyone to a meeting in Resistance HQ. There, they revealed that Neo Metal Sonic had taken over Angel Island and turned it into a flying fortress. Additionally, Neo had also taken control of the island's Master Emerald. With their goal being to liberate Angel Island, Amy came up with a strategy after some internal discussions. They would split into three teams. Team one would consist of Blaze the Cat in her Burning Blaze transformation, and team two would consist of Amy Rose, the Chaotix, Tails, Silver the Hedgehog, Shadow the Hedgehog (who would go off on his own and do his own thing), Tangle the Lemur, Rouge the Bat, and Whisper the Wolf. The main goal of teams one and two would be to break the Egg Fleet's control of Angel Island. Meanwhile, team three, which would consist of Sonic and Knuckles, would confront Neo Metal Sonic in order to secure the Master Emerald and rob the Egg Fleet of its commander. With that being settled, the group headed for Angel Island in a Resistance Battleship. (StH: #9)

After managing to defeat Neo Metal Sonic, who reverted back into Metal Sonic, the team soon set off to return to Resistance HQ, though not before Knuckles decided to disband the Resistance. (StH: #12)

From Resistance to Restoration[]

After disbandment of the Resistance, Amy became part of the Restoration and rebranded Resistance HQ as Restoration HQ. Sonic brought an injured Silver to Resoration HQ to recuperate after his and Sonic's encounter with Dr. Starline, to which Sonic informed Amy of and included that Dr. Starline was working with Dr. Eggman on something big. After seeing to Silver, Amy and Sonic tried figuring out their next move since they had no idea about what Eggman was up to. In an effort to locate Eggman, Amy noted that they could tap into his network from an unguarded Eggman base. With a new mission target, Sonic invited Amy to come along since it was her plan. Accepting the offer, Amy departed Restoration HQ with Sonic. (StH: #14)

After her mission with Sonic, he later returned to work. At one time, a fellow member of the Restoration came to her and gave her a phone call from Vector the Crocodile, who notified Amy that Eggman had unleashed the metal virus on Seaside City, and that the Chaotix request backup. Amy responded that she would call for help (hoping that Sonic would come to their aid) as well as sending a rescue shuttle to help evacuate the civilians. (IDW: Sonic the Hedgehog 17)

Cream the Rabbit, Vanilla the Rabbit, Gemerl and the rest of the Floral Forest Village took up cramped residence in Resotration HQ, after their village was attacked. They were also joined by other refugees, whose homes were affected by the metal virus and the zombots. (IDW #18)

Description[]

Externally, the original HQ resembles a 3-storey rectangular building made of bricks. The building appears run down. The only room ever seen at Resistance HQ is a large rectangular room, of which one half of it was used for meetings between the Resistance's members and allies. In this room there is a massive display monitor. There are also wooden crates all over the place, as well as cracks in the floor and cables lying around. Growing in the center of the HQ is also a five-petaled yellow flower. The HQ is situated in an urban environment, though its exact location is unspecified.

There is also a room that contains a lab for Tails, and also resides E-123 Omega's head.

Rooms[]

  • medical ward
  • Tail's lab (not to be confused with the one in Central city)
  • wide floor area which served as a shelter, though it became cramped as more refugees filled that space.
