You may be referring to Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik (TSR one-shot)

Dr. Ivo Robotnik, also known more commonly by his nicknames Dr. Eggman and more simply Eggman, is an evil scientist and dictator who seeks to rule over the entire world. He is ever persistent in his quest for world domination despite his constant losses at the hands of his most hated enemy Sonic the Hedgehog and his allies. After losing the war between his Eggman Empire and the Resistance, Eggman had lost his memory and taken up residence in Windmill Village under the alias of Mr. Tinker, but has since regained his memories and returned to his old ways.

At some point in the past, Dr. Eggman encountered Sonic, with both fighting against each other ever since. One of those battles included when Eggman invaded and conquered Flicky Island, with Sonic and his friends attempted to repel Eggman. One of those instances was when Dr Eggman in his mech fought Sonic in the Green Grove area of the Island. (Sonic the Hedgehog: Tails' 30th Anniversary Special)

Dr Eggman would also construct an airborne battle station, known as the Death Egg. One instance of the Death Egg crashed on an island and was left abanonded. (Scrapnik Island #1)

During an incident with the Phantom Ruby, Sonic had to face the enhanced Hard Boiled Heavies, led by Heavy King, who attempted to overthrow their creator. Luckily Sonic destroyed all of the enhanced robots. (Sonic the Hedgehog 30th Anniversary Special: Seasons of Chaos)

For several years, Eggman's badniks went out of their way to celebrate their creator's birthday, despite his reluctance. (Sonic the Hedgehog 30th Anniversary Special: Dr. Eggman's birthday)

Heavy king reconstruction

Previously, Dr Eggman repaired and restored Heavy King, intent on using him as a commander to effectively co-ordinate his badnik soldiers.

Sonic Learns to Drive[]

At some point in time, Dr. Eggman attacked a town with his badniks, cancelling the Mr Munch-um's racing event.

Dr. Eggman's birthday[]

After some time, Eggman slept in another Eggman base. upon waking up on his birthday, Eggman began to recall his badnik's attempts to celebrate his birthday despite Eggman's silent dismissal. After his morning preparations, Eggman found that all of his badniks, with the exception of a recovering Metal Sonic, had disaappeared. He went to the console, discovering that his Hard Boilled Heavies were leading his badniks on a reckless attack on Sonic. beleiving that his force would be recklessly decimated, the Doctor hurried to his Eggmobile and sped to his forces to call off the attack. Catching up to his generals, the Heavies, who were about to deliver thge order to attack, were threatened to withdraw on their creator's threat of their memories wiped. Back at the base, Eggman began admonishing his robotic forces about the recklessness of their actions. The Heavy Ninja replied that they were only doing it for his birthday to please him, which took Eggman aback. Touched by their dedication, Eggman begrudgingly accepted celebrating with his robots. He even blew off the candles of his birthday cake the robots made.

Amy's New Hobby[]

At some point after Dr. Eggman's birthday, both Sonic and Tails went to look for one of Eggman's newest bases. Tails would later tell Amy about it, only to grow suspicious when Amy was writing that story down for her comics.

He was featured in one of the comics that Tails saw, where Dr. Eggman was lowering down Sonic and Tails into a pit of fire. Amy then appeared and saved the day.

Pre-Eggman War[]

Sonic vs Egg Viper

Sonic defeats Eggman in his Egg Viper.

Dr. Eggman had been battling Sonic for some time. Their earliest known conflict included a battle between the two where Eggman piloted his Egg Viper mech, but Sonic winded up defeating him.[5] (StH: #1)

Another encounter involved the Space Colony ARK, in which Eggman used its Eclipse Cannon to blow up a part of the moon in order to show the world the power that he wielded. These events lead to Eggman teaming up with Sonic, Miles "Tails" Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, Rouge the Bat, and Shadow the Hedgehog to save the world.[6] (StH: #5, #6)

Neo threatens Eggman

Eggman is betrayed by Neo Metal Sonic.

Later, Eggman was betrayed by Metal Sonic, who had somehow transformed into a new form known as Neo Metal Sonic. Neo Metal Sonic disguised himself as the doctor and tried to take over the Eggman Empire. Sonic and his friends did battle with the fake Eggman, who piloted the Egg Emperor, but the heroes prevailed and defeated the robotic menace, causing it to revert back into its normal form.[7] Eggman, would then repair Metal Sonic and remove its rebelliousness from its coding. (StH: #1, #7)

When the Black Arms invaded, Eggman was on his own side fighting against the villainous extra terrestrials, who were eventually defeated.[8] (StH: #6)

Egg Dragoon

Sonic facing off against Eggman in the Egg Dragoon.

Eggman would return to his evil ways once again. Sonic faced off against Eggman in his Egg Dragoon and defeated the villain.[9] (StH: #1, #5)

Later, Eggman built an interstellar amusement park that used the power of the Wisps. Sonic freed their world, Planet Wisp, from Eggman's control and saved the kind creatures, putting a stop to Eggman and destroying his park.[10] (StH: #3)

Following this, Eggman discovered the Time Eater and used its powers to mess with time, but Sonic winded up defeating them and saving the day.[11] (StH: #5)

Sonic would later follow Eggman to the Lost Hex for another adventure in which Sonic had to save the world.[12] (StH: #3)

Eggman War[]

Death Egg Robot Forces

Eggman piloting the Death Egg Robot and facing off against Sonic.

More recently, after discovering a mysterious artifact known as the Phantom Ruby, Dr. Eggman used this gem's power to conjure up a limitless army of robots to wage war on the world. During this time, the doctor succeeded in defeating and capturing Sonic, keeping him imprisoned so that his nemesis could watch helplessly as the Eggman Empire expanded across the planet. Over a six-month period, Eggman conquered the majority of the planet, though a small number of territories were protected by the Resistance. (StH: #1, #7)

During the war, many of Eggman's operations were disrupted by a group of mercenaries known as the Diamond Cutters. Eggman would make contact with one of its members - Mimic - offering him the chance of a good life in the Eggman Empire if he betrayed his comrades. Believing that the war was unwinnable, Mimic agreed and he and Eggman set a trap for the Diamond Cutters. In the end, Mimic succeeded in killing off most of his teammates, with Whisper the Wolf being the only survivor. (Tangle & Whisper #3)

Six months into the war, Sonic was freed from captivity by the Resistance. With the world's greatest hero to rally behind, the Resistance soon managed to gain ground and strike back against Eggman's forces. This would culminate in a final battle at Eggman's fortress outside of Imperial City where Sonic fought against the doctor's Mega Death Egg Robot. The battle ended with the Phantom Ruby being destroyed and Eggman himself disappearing.

Eggman and "Mr. Tinker"[]

Scruffy and Tinker

"Mr. Tinker" enjoying a meal with the villagers of Windmill Village.

After his Phantom Ruby plan fell through, Eggman vanished without a trace, though his Badniks continued to operate on their own. In reality, an unconscious Eggman suddenly appeared in a village one day. The villagers locked him up immediately, only to return the next day to find that he’d broken out to fix up the door to his own cell. The doctor was put through numerous tests, where it was determined the dictator had no recollection of his old, villainous life. After nursing his wounds, the village took "Mr. Tinker" in as one of their own, who repaid their kindness by fixing anything they brought him, even going as far as to build them windmills. (StH: #1, #5)

During his amnesia, he also used Badnik parts to create a wooden puppet-like robot named Belle. Whilst Eggman's former Badniks were minimalistic in design and made of metal, Mr. Tinker embraced a different style of design with the parts. He then introduced the robot to the villagers.

Sonic Meets Mr Tinker

"Mr. Tinker" meets Sonic.

As Sonic and his friends worked to clean up the fallout of their recent war, the Chaotix Detective Agency launched their own investigation to find Eggman. After receiving a tipoff from an unknown source (later revealed to be Rouge the Bat), the Chaotix tracked down Eggman to the village where he was living a new life. The village head explained what had happened and why Eggman was there. Though considered a blessing by the townspeople, Sonic was not convinced, that is, until the hedgehog caught Tinker hiding in fear from a Badnik attack with fellow citizens.

After helping the Chaotix to do away with the Badniks before they could reach the village, Sonic had accepted that Eggman really had changed. Sonic prepared to speed off to his next destination, only to become alarmed when Tinker expressed his hope that the hedgehog would come back to visit so that he could show him "Eggman Land" once it was completed. Sonic could barely begin to dwell upon what he’d just heard, when Shadow the Hedgehog and Rouge showed up with the intention of destroying the doctor. Sonic fought Shadow to a standstill as the hero tried to convince his shady counterpart to spare the doctor's life due to his believed amnesia. After realising that Sonic had lured him away from the village, Shadow returned to the village to find Tinker in hiding, with Rouge watching over him. The hedgehog abrasively demanded that he show him "Eggman Land", to which Tinker complied: he took the heroes to a cabin that held a kids play area that he'd been constructing in secret. Tinker explained that name "Eggman Land" came to him while constructing it, and believed it to be a ridiculous-sounding name that the kids would find funny. The heroes were once again reassured of Tinker’s situation, though Sonic still worried that his recollection of "Eggman Land" was a sign that his memory could eventually return. (StH: #5, #6)

Return to evil[]

Whilst the Resistance were busy battling against Neo Metal Sonic and his forces, Mr. Tinker was singing and playing a banjo while the village children were playing in his Eggman Land fun park. He was then abducted by a liberated Rough and Tumble, who took him to his Final Egg base. There, he met the one who hired the kidnapping, Dr. Starline, an avid admirer of the evil doctor who was determined to bring him back to his old self. Starline then subjected Eggman to aggressive hypnotherapy and electro-shock treatments in order for Eggman to regain his memories. (#11)

Between "therapy sessions", Mr. Tinker wrote a note to his "daughter" Belle, explaining what had happened to him and what Starline was trying to do to him. He expressed that he didn't want to go back to being Eggman, but had no way to fight back and apologised to Belle, stating that he loved her and bid her farewell. He reprogrammed a Motobug Badnik and slipped the note between the seams in its shell before sending it off to find Belle.

Eggman metalvirus

Some time later, Metal Sonic would return to the Final Egg, having been defeated by the Resistance and disarmed before being let go. At the sight of Metal, Mr. Tinker immediately sought to fix the damaged robot. It was then, however, that he recalled his true identity, remembering when he had first built Metal and how he had repaired him many times following its encounters with Sonic. With his memory and personality restored, Eggman got to work on repairing Metal while greeting Dr. Starline, who told the doctor how he was a great admirer and wished to work under him. Starline had even gathered the seven Chaos Emeralds as an "apprenticeship application", which impressed Eggman enough to welcome the platypus into his employ. With Starline, Rough and Tumble now serving him, Dr. Eggman was ready to resume his quest to conquer the world. This time, he would make the world suffer like never before as he unleashed his most horrific creation yet: the Metal Virus. (#12)

Infection[]

As Dr. Eggman got to work on testing the potency of the Metal Virus, he sent Rough and Tumble out to get Sonic's attention. Around this time, he also made contact with Mimic, a former member of the Diamond Cutters who was responsible for killing off most of the group. Eggman supplied Mimic with a force of Badniks to help him eliminate Whisper, the last of the Diamond Cutters. (T & W) In the meantime, the Doctor observed how the Metal Virus converted animals into mindless Zombots that obeyed his commands.

Satisfied that he could deploy the Metal Virus with minimal risk to his own infrastructure, Eggman prepared the launch of his Faceship with which he would deliver the virus to the unsuspecting populace. Meanwhile, Dr. Starline and Metal Sonic had travelled to Frozen Peak where they would empty out one of Eggman's old bases as well as set a trap for Sonic. Starline almost killed Sonic and Silver using a bomb planted inside the old base, though Eggman had been watching everything from his current lair and was furious with Starline for almost robbing him of the satisfaction of destroying Sonic himself. Of course, Sonic had survived thanks to Silver raising a telekinetic shield to protect them from the explosion.

Having finished beta-testing the Metal Virus, Eggman decided to perform one final test in the field. Having grown irritated with Rough and Tumble's presence, the doctor provided the skunk brothers with backpacks containing the Metal Virus, claiming that they were weapons the duo could use against Sonic. Having tracked Sonic and Amy Rose to his old Echo Mine base, Eggman sent the skunks there with a drilling mech. When Sonic inevitably destroyed the machine, Rough and Tumble then resorted to using the backpacks, pressing the buttons on the straps as Eggman had instructed. This caused the backpacks to open and spill the Metal Virus all over the skunks' bodies, transforming them into Zombots. Sonic fought against the duo and knocked them down into a pit where they couldn't get out, but became infected with the virus himself.

Eggman starline fanboying

Overjoyed from watching Sonic become infected, Eggman proceeded to put his plan to spread the Metal Virus into action. Launching the Faceship - which was using the Chaos Emeralds as its power source - Eggman's first target was Windmill Village, where he had previously been living as Mr. Tinker. The doctor watched with delight as the virus was poured from the Faceship onto the village, transforming all of its inhabitants into Zombots. On Eggman's command, the Zombots spread out in every direction to infect as much organic life as possible.

After Windmill Village, the Faceship moved on and dropped a viral payload on Seaside City. The infection spread like wildfire and the city would fall in under an hour. The Chaotix did what they could to rescue those who had not been infected, rallying them to the harbour where a Restoration shuttle would pick them up. However, they lost Charmy to the growing Zombot horde. (#17)

Eggman would next attack Floral Forest Village, home of Cream the Rabbit and her mother Vanilla. Sonic arrived on the scene as the Metal Virus was released, attempting to evacuate the villagers to the northern glade where a Restoration shuttle could extract them. While Cream and Vanilla were rescued, their Chao - Cheese and Chocola - were infected. Sonic tried to immobilize the infected Chao by trapping them inside jars, but the Zombot Chao smashed their way out after Sonic had left. Eggman took great pleasure in watching Sonic struggle to rescue others while trying to keep his own infection at bay, but his good mood would be ruined when he discovered that the Zombots weren't responding to voice commands any more. The doctor hypothesized that the virus was mutating the more it spread, which would explain why the Zombots were becoming unresponsive. Dr. Starline expressed concern that the virus might become uncontrollable, but Eggman brushed off these concerns and said he would work something out in due time. (#18)

Losing control[]

After dumping viral payloads onto Sunset and Central City, Dr. Eggman and Dr. Starline addressed the issue of their lack of control over the Zombots, which were no longer responding to voice commands. Taking an Egg Mobile out over Barricade Town, they tested a number of tight-band radio frequencies to try and bring the infected back under control, but without success. Starline expressed his concern over the infection becoming uncontrollable and how they had not been inoculated against the virus, to which Eggman stated that he hadn't bothered creating a vaccine and that his only plan to avoid contamination was staying out of the Zombots' reach.

Dr. Eggman vs. Sonic

While Starline and Eggman were bickering over the inherent flaws in the plan, Sonic arrived on the scene. He confronted Eggman over his choice of returning to his evil ways rather than continuing to live a peaceful life as Mr. Tinker, and for a brief moment, Eggman seemed to regret leaving that life behind. However, he quickly retorted that he was doing more important work now by bringing peace and unity to the world, when in reality he was doing anything but. Realising that he wasn't getting through to the doctor, Sonic was prepared to fight him despite his state of infection.

During their fight, Sonic overturned the Egg Mobile and caused Eggman and himself to fall to the ground. Before the Zombots could swarm them, Starline managed to find a control signal to make the Zombots stop in their tracks. Before the signal could be uploaded to the Faceship, Sonic destroyed the Egg Mobile and its transmitter. He then fled the scene as Starline retrieved Eggman with his hover-box.

After the doctors returned to the Faceship, Starline decided that drastic measures had to be taken to get Eggman's plan back on track. The previous day, the platypus had gone behind Eggman's back and contacted the Deadly Six on Lost Hex, hoping to recruit them and have them use their electromagnetic abilities to manage the Zombot crisis. With Eggman still content to let the global infection run its course before acting, Starline summoned the Zeti to the Faceship using the Warp Topaz. Upon arrival, the Zeti took control of Metal Sonic and also attempted to attack Starline. Starline blew upon the Cacophonic Conch to keep the Zeti in line, but was standing too close to Zazz. Once he stopped to take a breath, Zazz headbutted him and took the Conch, tossing it to Zavok. Zavok then set Metal Sonic upon Eggman and Starline, but the platypus opened a portal and he, Eggman and Metal Sonic fell through, landing on Angel Island where Sonic and the surviving Restoration members had gathered.

All or Nothing[]

Eggman fires starline

With the Deadly Six now in control of Eggman's operation, the doctors had no choice but to ally with the remaining heroes in order to save themselves. Eggman came up with an idea to use the Warp Topaz to create multiple portals to send different groups after each one of the Deadly Six and retrieve the Chaos Emerald that each member now possessed. With all the emeralds, Sonic could turn into Super Sonic, curing himself of the Metal Virus and using his power in conjunction with the Warp Topaz to eliminate the virus worldwide. Starline was opposed to the idea, stating that the Warp Topaz was difficult to use properly and that he was the only one who fully understood how it worked. He had his own plan in the works and opened a portal in order to leave, but at that moment Metal Sonic grabbed Starline and pulled off his glove holding the Warp Topaz, handing it to Eggman. Eggman then declared that Starline was fired and had Metal Sonic throw him through the portal, which then closed behind him.

Using parts from the Restoration's shuttle, Eggman and Tails built a multi-wormhole generator which would allow them to use the Warp Topaz to generate a wormhole to each location the Deadly Six members were occupying. They also built a treadmill for Sonic to continue running on in order to hold off his transformation into a Zombot. While the Restoration members divided into teams to strike at the Zeti and take their Chaos Emeralds, Eggman and Sonic remained on Angel Island, keeping in contact with Rouge the Bat who had infiltrated the Faceship and was working with Orbot and Cubot to sabotage the vessel.

After some time had passed, Sonic's allies returned to Angel Island with the Chaos Emeralds, just as Zavok had arrived in the Faceship. Rouge managed to sabotage the ship's systems and cause it to crash, destroying Zavok's means of producing more Metal Virus. However, Zavok used his Chaos-enhanced abilities to turn into a giant and lob clusters of Zombots onto the floating isle. At this point, there was nowhere for anyone to run, although that didn't stop Eggman from shoving Amy into a zombified Big the Cat so that he could make a getaway. Unfortunately for the doctor, a Zombot Froggy was stood in his path and he tripped over him. The little amphibian then leapt onto Eggman's back and infected him. Fortunately, Eggman didn't transform as Sonic and Silver, with assistance from Metal Sonic, took the last Chaos Emerald from Zavok and transformed into their Super States. After swiftly beating Zavok, Super Sonic and Super Silver used their powers in conjunction with the Warp Topaz, stripping the Metal Virus from all over the planet and collecting it into a singular mass which was then thrown into the sun, eradicating the virus completely.

Omega mech

Although the Metal Virus had been eradicated, Sonic had disappeared. While the other heroes were distracted, Eggman, Orbot and Cubot made a discreet exit. As they fled, Orbot recovered the head of E-123 Omega, the last of the doctor's E-100 series robots. Pleased to have his traitorous creation back, Eggman took Omega's head back to his lair where he not only rebuilt his body, but reprogrammed and hardwired him into a new mecha, the Giga Omega.

Some time later, Sonic's friends had gathered in Spiral Hill Village and were celebrating. With Sonic gone, Eggman felt it was the perfect time to cause some havoc without his nemesis around to stop him and crashed the party using the Giga Omega. The Restoration members fought hard against Eggman's mech, but it wasn't until Sonic's sudden return from the Sol Dimension that the battle finally turned in the heroes' favour. Sonic was able to break Omega loose of Eggman's mecha and the enraged robot unloaded all of his ammunition on the machine before then falling apart. Although upset over Sonic's return, Eggman still considered the day a win for him since he had ruined the heroes' party. He vowed to return to terrorize them again as he fled in his Egg Mobile.

Bad Guys[]

While plotting his next major operation, Eggman discovered that one of his facilities had come under attack. The day after the attack, the doctor arrived to inspect the damage and found that a large supply of Energy Cores had been stolen and the facility's database had been infiltrated. The evidence on hand indicated Sonic and Tails were responsible, but Eggman didn't believe it, suspecting another player was involved. In truth, it was Dr. Starline who had led the attack after having recruited several villains to aid him with his own agenda.

Two days later, Starline and his team would attack an Eggnet Hub and send out a false transmission telling Eggman that one of his supply depots was being ransacked. This would divert the doctor's attention long enough for Starline to send out a control signal to Egg Base Sigma, allowing him to take full control of the base and all Badniks within it. However, Orbot would discover the false transmission and alert Eggman that the network hub had been infiltrated. While surveillance hadn't detected Starline, it had caught Zavok on camera, leading Eggman to believe that the Zeti was behind the attack. Piloting an Egg Hawk plane, the doctor led a fleet of Balkiries to attack the hub.

By the time Eggman arrived at the hub, Starline, Mimic, Rough and Tumble had all fled, going their separate ways. Zavok attempted to bring down the doctor's aerial force with the hub's defences, but the facility was ultimately overwhelmed and destroyed. Zavok survived the attack and escaped, but what left Eggman feeling more unsatisfied was how the Zeti knew where his facilities were. He didn't believe that Zavok was the mastermind behind the attacks, though he did not yet suspect Starline.

Test Run[]

Several weeks after the loss of Egg Base Sigma, Dr. Eggman completed construction of a tower off the coast of Seaside City. The facility acted as a sort of virtual environment in which the doctor could carry out testing on various weapons and new Badnik models. Orbot and Cubot were assigned to oversee the facility directly while Eggman was back at his primary lair, using a virtual reality interface to control the test environments.

The thunderstorms generated by the tower's defense system attracted the attention of Sonic, Tails and Amy, who arrived at the facility via the Tornado. However, Tangle the Lemur and Belle the Tinkerer had followed the trio on a hovercraft. Orbot and Cubot detected Sonic's entry after he, Amy and Tails found themselves trapped in one of the test chambers. When the lackeys contacted Eggman, the doctor was delighted that he had the chance to test his Pseudo Badniks on the heroes.

Altering the gravity within the test environment, Eggman set a squad of Pseudo Badniks on the heroes. The trio were able to evade the attackers and make it into another chamber where the doctor had another surprise waiting for them: four modified Egg Vipers. Sonic was able to destroy one of them, but the other three began to overwhelm the heroes. Meanwhile, outside the testing area, Tangle and Belle had tied up Orbot and Cubot and tricked them into revealing how they could enter the test chambers to help Sonic and the others. Tying her tail to a pipe like a tether, Tangle leapt into a portal.

Eggman meets belle

While Tangle entered the test chamber, Belle remained with Orbot and Cubot, monitoring the situation with Orbot's computer pad. During this time, Eggman called his hench-bots and was surprised to find Belle on the other end of the line. Looking at the mechanical marionette through the pad's camera, Eggman quickly deduced that he had created Belle during his "Mr. Tinker" period. Belle asked Eggman what he was doing and why, and the doctor obliged her. He explained the purpose of the tower and how it bent the laws of physics to the doctor's will, providing the ideal ground for him to experiment with new inventions and strategies. Eggman stopped himself before going any further, believing that Belle wouldn't comprehend his "unrestrained genius" and rhetorically asked her what she found so special about Mr. Tinker. Deeply upset by her "father's" words, Belle dropped the pad to the floor.

Eggman continued to harrass Sonic and the others inside the test chamber, but because Tangle's tail had remained within the portal grid for so long, the system began to malfunction. The heroes escaped from the test chamber and fled along with Belle, Orbot and Cubot as the entire complex began to collapse on itself. The destruction of the tower caused a feedback surge in Eggman's virtual reality interface, delivering a mild electric shock.

Zeti Hunt[]

Operating from an outpost in Winterburg, Eggman attempted to hunt down the members of the Deadly Six who had been left planetbound since the Metal Virus incident. However, his operation was interrupted by Sonic and Eggman fought against the hedgehog in a snowman-themed mech. Eggman, predictably, lost the fight and his base would be destroyed soon after.

Battle for the Empire[]

Egg Emperor vs Super Eggrobo

Egg Emperor vs. Super Eggrobo

Some time following his last fight with Sonic, Dr. Eggman's new capital of Eggperial City was attacked by Dr. Starline and his two new minions: Surge and Kitsunami. The two cyborgs swiftly tore through the Badniks defending the city while Starline uploaded a virus into Eggman's network. From the central tower, the virus was transmitted to every Badnik over hundreds of miles, bringing them under Starline's control and summoning them to the city. When Orbot and Cubot were corrupted by the signal, they attacked the doctor, but lacking any real offensive ability, they were easily overpowered and the doctor escaped through a chute leading to his memorial garage.

Within the garage were several of Eggman's past mechs, though not all had been restored to operational condition. Eggman boarded the Egg Emperor mech and used it to attack Starline while he was within the central tower's control room. Thanks to his Tricore, Starline was able to evade Eggman's attack and escape. He fled into the city and deduced where the Egg Emperor had launched from, making his own way to the memorial garage where he commandeered the Super Eggrobo. He then engaged Eggman in a spectacular giant robot battle.

Eggslam

The two doctors with their giant robots fought furiously across the city, but the Eggrobo was crippled after being impaled upon the Egg Emperor's lance. Emerging from his mech, Starline activated his Tricore and unleashed the Tricore Blast, destroying the Egg Emperor. Eggman emerged from the Egg Emperor's wreckage smiling, having apparently expected the battle to turn out the way it did and noting that Starline had just exhausted the Tricore. As Eggman walked towards him, Starline raised his Hypno-Gear, but Eggman lowered his flight goggles which had special lenses to protect him from Starline's hypnosis. Panicking, Starline then attacked his former idol with his heel-spurs. In a rare show of physical prowess, Eggman grabbed Starline's leg before raising him up and slamming him to the ground. He then took Starline's now-useless glove and threw it aside, mocking the doctor and stating how he had actually been paying attention to their conversations while they were working together and had all the while been thinking of strategies to overcome Starline should he ever turn against him.

Just as he was done humiliating Starline, Eggman was approached by Belle with Metal Sonic in tow. Belle had come to terms with Eggman's return to villainy and had come to say goodbye to her "father" before going back to her friends. When Eggman asked how Belle had overcome Starline's control signal, she told him that she used herself as a secure server. Impressed with Belle's ingenuity, Eggman offered the marionette an opportunity to serve him as a mechanic, but she turned him down. The doctor decided to let Belle go while he returned to his tower with Metal Sonic, whom Belle had repaired following his fight with Surge.

Appearance[]

Dr. Eggman is depicted as a human with a rotund and burly appearance, his torso and head coming together in an egg-like shape. He possesses no visible neck, a bald head, a bright red nose, and a very bushy mahogany moustache. He also has long, almost disproportionately thin arms and legs.

Mr Tinker

Eggman as “Mr. Tinker”.

For attire, Eggman wears tinted, navy blue pince-nez glasses and green-lensed goggles as headwear and an elegant, red coat sporting two square metal buttons on both sides of the chest in gold. These buttons have white straps that run across the coat's sides to identical buttons on the back. The coat also has silver, zipper-like linings down the back, arms and front, yellow cuffs, and two extensions on the front that have large silver buttons. In addition, Eggman also wears white, cuff-less gloves on his hands and a pair of black pants with matching boots seemingly attached to them bearing circular plates on the both sides of the ankles and three square ones riding up the shin.

After losing his memory and gaining the new alias "Mr. Tinker", Eggman began to wear green overalls, a pink shirt, and pink and green slippers.

Personality[]

Dr. Eggman is an evil and megalomaniacal genius who is constantly planning to take over the world. Arrogant, raucous and narcissistic, he prefers to show up and claim responsibility whenever he is carrying out his villainous deeds and make himself known to his enemies after he comes back from a defeat; as put by Sonic, subtlety is not Eggman's forte.

As revealed by himself in Sonic the Hedgehog #26, when it comes to designing machines, he prefers to worry about making sure they look nice aesthetically, rather than making sure they work as intended.

As Mr. Tinker, Eggman displays a very different disposition, being a friendly, humble and modest man who loves children and helping others out. Mr. Tinker also displays a somewhat cowardly streak, being afraid of his own robots, although it does not keep him from helping and comforting the innocent.

Eggman Upgrades Metal Sonic

Eggman is an impatient, short-tempered and deceitful self-proclaimed evil genius and megalomaniac, who is always trying to take over the world. His ambitions and vile influence extend to even his robot minions, some of which he has programmed to be deceitful and conquest-driven like himself. He is similarly extremely arrogant and conceited, to the point where he, as an example, deems heartfelt gifts made in his image for him to be inferior simply because they cannot match up to his own handsomeness. He is also rather violent, as he tends to use brute force to defeat his foes. However, he is also immature, usually resorting to pouting when having a bad day. As devoted as he is to conquering the world, Eggman can be a bit of a slouch, having built robots to handle more important tasks for him while he slacks off. He also tends to portray himself as an emotionally vulnerable man, like when he claimed his feelings got hurt when his robots turned on him, although he is quick to resort to anger when someone shows him no sympathy. Eggman is usually bold in his statements and standpoints. However, when he finds himself at a disadvantage, he is quick to give into peer pressure and physical threats. In addition, he takes great pride in himself and his creations, the latter in particular when when they surpass his expectations (even when it happens in a way he did not intend). When it comes to birthdays, and especially his own, Eggman finds them a waste of time and bunch of nonsense. He especially dislikes his own birthdays due to his Badniks' tendency to throw unwanted birthdays and how he never manages to accomplish anything noteworthy to mark the occasion.

Abilities[]

Eggman is a brilliant scientist and inventor with seemingly limitless mastery over technology. His remarkable skills as an engineer and programmer are best evidenced by the armies of robots and mechs he has created for his numerous schemes. He is also an incredibly skilled pilot: able to manipulate many different kinds of his own mechs, robots, and vehicles in difficult battles with Sonic.

Eggman is also far more physically fit than his appearance lets on. It was mentioned by Rouge in Issue #12 that despite his paunch, Eggman has a strict cardio regimen. In Issue #50, Eggman also displays a rare show of physical strength after his mecha battle with Dr. Starline; he grabs Starline by the leg using one arm and lifts him up before slamming him into the ground.

He has been shown to carry a gun that he uses in the absence of a vehicle or any available robot.
