The Croquette Bomber is a technique utilized primarily between Sonic the Hedgehog and Amy Rose in which Sonic performs a Spin Dash and Amy Rose follows up by swinging her Piko Hammer, sending Sonic flying with a strong force.
Description
When performing the Croquette Bomber, Sonic crouches and revs up a Spin Dash in a stationary position. Amy then gets behind Sonic and uses her Piko Hammer as a croquet mallet to send Sonic flying through midair while in spinball form into their intended target. This attack packs enough power to destroy a Blowfish Transporter in a single shot.
Background Information
- The Croquette Bomber appears to be a reference to Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, in which the Queen of Hearts used hedgehogs as croquette balls.
- This technique is very similar to the Fastball POW move from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood.
- In Sonic the Hedgehog #259 published by Archie Comics Publications, Sonic and Amy performed a similar move that they called the "Croquet Special".
