The Blowfish Transporter was a mass-produced model of Badnik created by Dr. Eggman that usually serves as a transport vessel for regular Badnik troops.

After Sonic the Hedgehog managed to defeat Eggman in their previous encounter, the doctor disappeared. However, his robot forces remained and continued to attack without a leader. Among these robots was at least one Blowfish Transporter. Eventually, the Blowfish Transporter came under the control of Neo Metal Sonic, who made it and its fellow Badniks more cohesive. A Blowfish Transporter about to get hit by the Croquette Bomber.

At one point, a town was attacked by a Death Crab. Although it was stopped by the combined efforts of Sonic and Amy Rose, unbeknownst to them, it was only a decoy, as a Badnik army consisting of Egg Pawns and Egg Walkers invaded from the west. After working with the town to dispatch of many of the badniks, Sonic and Amy came across a Blowfish Transporter that was releasing Egg Pawns to attack the town. Sonic and Amy used their combination attack, Croquette Bomber, to destroy the Badnik and stop the invasion. (StH: #2)

The Blowfish Transporter is based on a pufferfish. It has a round body with purple armor and a white underbelly. It also has a pair of wing-like fins with purple and white turbine engines, along with a pair of smaller turbine engines on the bottom of its belly. The Blowfish Transporter has as well two black eyes, a flat orange beak, and a small caudal fin on its rear. It also has a hatch on its front belly which leads to a wide storage room inside its body.

Basically, the Blowfish Transporter is a mindless and silent drone programmed to follow its leader's every command. As such, when left without a leader to follow, it becomes directionless and only able to cause harm by accident. Under a guiding force however, it is a cold and merciless machine who carries out their commands without question.

Blowfish Transporters have the ability to fly in mid-air. They can also carry cargo inside their bodies to different locations and deploy them from any position.

Background Information

  • The Blowfish Transporter was based on the robot of the same name in the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series where it first appeared in the video game, Sonic Lost World. It was unnamed in the comic, but is considered tier 2 canon by this site's canon policy, as it does not contradict already established canon from tier 1.
